Kate Sandars

About me

I'm a Leadership Coach and Facilitator for managers in Technology and Media. I help high-achieving individuals and teams, supporting them to achieve ambitious goals with life balance.

I bring extensive professional experience to my coaching, having worked at the intersection of content and technology for more than 20 years as a partnership director, product manager and international news journalist (BBC News, Shazam, FutureLearn). I have worked in start-ups, scale-ups and matrix organisations.

I understand the pressures of working in fast-paced, high-growth environments where there is a constant drive to deliver, exceed targets, lead a team of ambitious people, and carve out time for strategic thinking. I bring my experience to help my clients lead with purpose and authenticity while avoiding burnout. I’m interested in helping clients thrive, not just survive.  My diverse experience in international news journalism, technology teams and academic settings, working with world-leading global universities, gives me a deep appreciation for different cultural and working styles and I have forged my own unique path through a series of personal and professional challenges.

I have worked with a variety of senior leaders in digital and media, product management, technology, higher education and journalism. Current and former clients include teams and individuals working for Amazon, PlayStation, BBC, British Airways, DAZN, Microsoft, WWF-UK, and the UK civil service.
